1. Acceptance
By downloading or using Poof, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2. What Poof is
Poof is a personal to-do list app for iOS. You create tasks, organize them, and mark them done, at which point they disappear in a puff of magic. Completed tasks are kept in local history until removed per your Auto-Delete setting.
3. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Poof on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA from the App Store Terms of Service) applies in addition to these Terms.
4. Your data
Everything you create in Poof (tasks, notes, settings) is stored locally on your device only. You're responsible for your own device's security and backups. Poof keeps no copy of your data anywhere else, so if your device is lost, reset, or the app is deleted, that data can't be recovered by us. See our Privacy Policy for details.
5. Acceptable use
Use Poof for its intended purpose: keeping track of your own tasks. Don't reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app beyond what applicable law expressly permits, and don't use the app in any way that violates applicable law.
6. No warranty
Poof is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific needs. Use at your own enchantment.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use Poof, including data loss from device failure, since Poof does not maintain backups on your behalf.
8. Pricing, availability & changes
Poof's core is free, and always will be. Everything you need to get things done — creating, organizing, planning, and completing tasks — will remain available at no cost, with no ads, no subscription, and no account required. We will not put an existing core feature behind a payment, and we will not begin charging for the app itself.
We do reserve the right to offer optional paid add-ons alongside that free core — for example cosmetic themes and completion effects, or a voluntary support-the-creator purchase. Anything paid will always be genuinely optional, clearly priced, and shown to you before you're asked to pay for anything. Declining or ignoring paid extras will never remove, limit, or degrade any core feature.
We may add, change, or remove non-core features in future updates, and we may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Any revision remains bound by the free-core commitment above.
9. Termination
You may stop using Poof at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend distribution of the app at any time (for example, removing it from the App Store), though we intend for Poof to stay available and independently maintained for the long haul.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where superseded by Apple's own terms and applicable consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction.
